As you all seem to love my custom street maps so much, I've been slowly working in the background on a new range of coloured stainless steel key rings with these original custom designs engraved.
99% of my products are solid silver & gold, but with silver prices going completely insane right now it's been tough to consider making new designs when I'm faced with a simple pendant costing four times as much just in raw silver bullion alone. Don't even get me started on the cost of making a silver chain!
So steel - not my favourite for jewellery but let's face it times are tough with inflation through the roof (I don't care what they say on the news it's WAY MORE than 3% they claim, we all know this when we get to the checkout or go to buy a pint in the pub!) - so steel is the perfect material for a nice affordable but personal gift for someone that doesn't break the bank.
These new key-rings are coming in an assortment of colours, shapes and finishes. I've been spending much of January mastering the art of engraving in dark colours on gold and silver steel surfaces so it's exciting to put out something new.
In the meantime if you've got your eye on anything in silver or gold - seriously just get it ordered now! Since my last post in October silver has gone up by a whopping 130% - I kid you not when I say that the days of silver being a nice cheap and easy gift are round the corner unless some massive drop in price happens soon, experts think it's just going to continue to rise...
