Shipping To Europe & Northern Ireland
Are you a shopper based in the EU or Northern Ireland If so, you may have heard of some recent challenges due to the new GPSR regulations. Unfortunately, these regulations have created a complicated red tape nightmare for many small businesses, including jewellers. What are the new regulations? Starting from the 13th of December 2024, businesses are required to have an authorised 'responsible person' within the EU or Northern Ireland to certify the safety of their products. This means that simply having a UK hallmark is no longer sufficient to meet the new requirements. Why the temporary suspension? Given that this period is one of the busiest for many businesses, dealing with such a complex issue without much support from the UK Government can be overwhelming. As a result, many jewellers and small businesses, including ourselves, have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all orders to Northern Ireland and the EU until the new year. This will allow us the time needed to navigate these new regulations and ensure compliance. Apologies for any inconvenience We understand that this decision may cause inconvenience to our customers, and for that, we sincerely apologise. Our priority is to ensure that we can continue to provide our products to you in a way that meets all necessary regulations and standards. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. We look forward to resolving these issues and resuming shipping to Northern Ireland and the EU as soon as possible.

NEW Triathlon silver necklaces
I've found in recent years (I'm 45 at the time of writing) that many of my fellow mid 40's peers have adopted a total abandon of those hedonistic years in the 1990's and instead have taken to sporting events with some admirable enthusiasm! I know at least half a dozen just within a few miles of home who have run marathons, competed in Tough Mudder challenges, done at least one Iron Man or have a few triathlons under their belts. These are women with kids, men with dogs, chaps with grown families, friends who've recovered from cancer - such a broad spectrum. It was always a plan to make a triathlon necklace at the launch of Off The Map but it's honestly taken months of work to get it JUST right. I didn't want to make some flat, boring piece you'd easily confuse with some brass plated nonesense you'd find on Ali-Baba. This had to have real character. And so here it is! AND if I do say so I'm rather pleased with it! The design is simple and striking. The size is discreet, the detail really unique. The silver pendant is a cog shape with the icons of the triathlon sports designed by us in house and deeply carved into the curved front face of the pendant. In true Off The Map style you can have it engraved with your race time or event location on the back and have it finished any way you like - matte, polished or antique look. These commemorative Triathlon pendants are easily wearable by the toughest of men and women - two chain styles available in a load of lengths. Hope you like them!

Not your average Saint Christopher... Hello! Welcome to Off The Map! I'm Stevie the designer, and this blog post talks about the design inspiration behind my unique Saint Christopher necklaces. I LOVED my first St Christopher. It was one of those traditional stamped ones, a bit blurry, with a raised image of the iconic Saint, and the back had some symbols of travel on it, a train, plane and a boat. It was given to me by my mum on my first solo trip to Thailand back in 1999. After a few years of heavy wear the silver plate began to wear off. I hadn't realised it was actually made of brass or copper underneath, and the flaking silver and orange edges made it less appealing to wear. My designs are a mix of old and new. The 'Off The Map' St Christopher has a unique lazer etched bold image of the Saint & Christ child surrounded by a border that does what it says on the tin: Saint Christopher - Travel Safe My other new design is for the atheists and agnostics among us. Not everyone wants to wear a religious icon about their person, but the symbolism is much the same. Using an icon of a compass I designed, the border reads: Travel Safe - Adventure Awaits. Bold to the point - an instruction to get out there, travel, enjoy and live life to the max. This unique silver compass necklace makes an easy travel gift for men & women alike. I can even engrave the back for you if you want to add a personal message. I've insisted that they are all made from solid silver and where available, solid gold. I don't want to make something with a shelf life. I want someone who chooses one of my St Christopher's to be wearing it for a lot longer than mine - though I loved it so, it just wasn't made to last the long haul. The two-tone mixed metal Off The Map St Christopher's have solid gold centres - using affordable 9ct yellow and rose gold, this rich colour is not going to wear off in time. The pendants are made using two separate pieces joined together for a completely unique and bold look.
