Roman Numerals 8mm Wide Silver Ring

Mark a date that matters. Whether it's an 18th or 21st birthday, an anniversary, or the day you met someone special, this wide, solid sterling silver band turns a meaningful number into something you can wear every day.

The date is deeply engraved in classic Roman numerals around the outside of the ring — bold, elegant, and built to last. At 8mm wide, it has a chunky, substantial feel that works equally well for men and women. Curved both on the inside and outside it's comfortable too wear daily.

Getting your size right: If you're not sure of your ring size, we recommend ordering one of our ring multisizers before placing your order. Rings can be enlarged after the fact for a small charge, but downsizing is very difficult — and near impossible if there's engraving on both the inside and outside — so it's really worth getting it right first time.

Please double-check your engraving details before ordering, as personalised rings can't be returned. All rings come in a branded gift box.

Ring Sizes

Our rings are crafted to standard UK ring sizes right here in the UK. To help you find the perfect fit, we provide equivalent EU and US sizes. If you need a half size, simply contact us when placing your order, and we'll happily accommodate your request.

If you're buying as a gift we STRONGLY advise you find out the recipients size to avoid disappointment in the event we cannot resize your ring. It's easier for us to size rings up a little than down, and rings that are engraved both inside AND outside are near impossible to resize. We sell a ring Multi-sizer here which is worth the investment to get it right first time.

Delivery

We are currently away on holiday from 27th March – 12th April. During this time, our assistant will be available 2–3 days per week (excluding bank holidays), so please allow a little extra time for your order to be dispatched. We appreciate your patience!

Your jewellery will be made and dispatched within 1–2 working days (excluding custom pieces requiring proof approval), though during our absence dispatch times may be slightly longer than usual. All jewellery orders are sent fully tracked.

Please note that gold plated and custom pieces are unavailable until we return on 12th April.

UK delivery options: Tracked 48, Tracked 24, and Special Delivery.

International orders: Royal Mail International Tracked only.

Material & Care

Silver jewellery needs a little care to keep its shine, especially rings which come into contact with more chemicals than a bracelet for example.

To prevent tarnishing, avoid contact with harsh chemicals like bleach, chlorine, perfumes, and lotions, and remove your pieces before swimming, showering, or exercising. Store silver in a dry place, ideally in an air-tight container, and gently polish it regularly with a soft cloth. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water or a specialised silver cleaner.

Remember, tarnish is natural, and regular wear can actually help keep it at bay, but proper storage and avoiding chemicals are essential for maintaining your silver's beauty.

I ordered this roman date ring for a great friend of mine.

In the beginning, I was concerned about a few things (shipping, details about the ring, etc.).
But the support (Stevie) was really helpful. After some chatting, which took only one or two days, since Stevie answers quickly, I purchased this Roman Date Ring.

There were no problems regarding shipping (it was shipped to Germany). It even arrived a few days earlier than expected.

The ring itself is of high quality and the engravings are neatly finished.
However, you might have to order smaller sizes than used to. My friend usually wears rings sized around 64 EU but 63 3/4 EU was still a bit too large.

What's your jewellery made of?

Our silver jewellery is made with 925 sterling silver, which is solid and not plated base metals like a lot of cheaper brands. Our gold items are created using solid 9ct yellow or solid rose gold. All our precious metal jewellery is hallmarked in the UK following the UK Assay Office requirements.

I don't know what ring size I need

Our rings are crafted to standard UK sizes, with EU and US size conversions provided for your convenience. Because most of our rings are custom engraved, ensuring the correct size before ordering is essential.

While we offer resizing for a small fee, please be aware that sizing rings down is more complex than sizing up, and adjustments of more than 1-2 sizes, and resizing will incur additional costs. We understand the desire for a surprise gift, but an ill-fitting ring can lead to disappointment, especially as engraved rings cannot be returned.

Measuring using string and tape is never very accurate, neither are print-at-home ring size charts. To help you find the perfect fit, we recommend confirming your ring size before purchasing. If visiting a jeweller isn't an option, we offer an affordable multi-sizer, available here.

How Quickly Do You Engrave Your Rings?

If your piece doesn't require a custom design that needs a proof, we usually size, engrave and finish rings within 1 working day. Custom design lead times are dependent on how quick you are to respond to proofs, and how many edits are needed on your design.

Delivery depends on the shipping option you choose and your location.

Are your rings hardy enough for everyday wear?

Our silver rings are made from high-quality 925 sterling silver. Due to silver's natural softness, rings can be more susceptible to dents and tarnishing from daily wear compared to other jewellery such as steel or high carats of gold. If you're concerned about dents affecting the design, a matte finish offers a more practical option, as it tends to conceal minor imperfections better than a polished finish.

Your rings will stay beautiful for longer with a little gentle care. Avoid exposing them to harsh chemicals, such as those in swimming pools and abrasive cleaners. In hot weather, be mindful of perspiration and sunscreen, which can easily cause rapid tarnishing.

Matte finished rings can tarnish more easily in summer than polished ones, it's not a quality problem, but depends on how they're cared for. Removing your rings before swimming or applying sunscreen will help preserve their lustre. An anti-tarnish Rhodium Plating service is available for those who experience silver tarnishing.
